SOPER, Okla. – The Choctaw Nation Development Fund awarded Parson’s Sawmill and Woodworking a $5,000 forgivable loan.
Parson’s Sawmill and Woodworking is owned and operated by Justin Parsons, who started the business as a hobby in 2020 in Soper. With an influx of requests and repeat customers in recent years, Parson is expanding his business. He offers affordable custom sawmill services, including sawing logs, precut lumber, and handcrafted items such as furniture, charcuterie boards, birdfeeders and more.
Money from the Choctaw Development Fund helped purchase a steel building to help Parson’s business store additional equipment to fulfill more custom orders.
